Executive Bios

Jonathan G. Riley, President

Prior to becoming President at Riley Friedman Asset Management, Jon worked for 14 years at Lehrer Management Company, an independent investment advisory firm. He was a Vice President, Portfolio Manager, a member of the Investment Committee, and Chief Compliance Officer during his tenure there.

Jon graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics.

Stuart Friedman, Principal

Prior to becoming a Principal with Riley Friedman Asset Management, Stuart worked for 9 years at Lehrer Management Company, an independent investment advisory firm. He was a Portfolio Manager and a member of the Investment Committee during his tenure there.

Stuart has also worked in the private equity sector for GFI Energy Ventures, concentrating on opportunities in the deregulated power industry. He also served as a U.S. Diplomat for the Department of State, focusing on U.S. economic and commercial interests.

Stuart graduated from UC-Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science. He also earned a J.D. degree from UC-Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.
